The HeShu Gear Pyraminx is a budget gear puzzle that is very stiff out of the box. We recommend using some silicone lubricant on the cogs before first turns.
What's In The Box?
- HeShu Gear Pyraminx
fell apart after a few turns. and impossible to fix without breaking. good for show
I found the puzzle quite stiff to turn, and after not very long, while turning one side, it turns out it was also loosening a screw and the puzzle fell apart. To reassemble it, you have to remove stickers to get the cap off to access the screw. Unfortunately, the cap is glued and is not easy to remove. The puzzle does not come with any spare stickers to replace the ones you remove, either.
Changed my mind.
The puzzle fell apart during its first full scramble. I’m a confident puzzle disassembler and do basic mods on puzzles too, but a glued bit prevented me getting to the screw I needed to access.
so fixing it was far more trouble than it is worth. It is in the bin now.
I rolled the £1.89 cheap puzzle dice and lost. Ah well
Probably the lowest I have paid for a full price new puzzle.
Turns pretty well out the box, but needed a clean as it was a bit grubby.
Can easily misalign the gears if you don’t know what you’re doing.
When turning make sure that the centre 6 pieces of each face (they form an irregular hexagon and have no stickers) are lined up properly before making another turn. If you stick to that rule then you’ll be a happy puzzler.
